Kaprun

Kaprun is a quant village both beautiful to visit both during Summer & Winter seasons. The village has a very relaxed casual atmosphere. Traditional Austrian decoration runs throughout the village with with locals being friendly and helpful. Locals take pride in their environment and the village is kept immaculately clean and tidy. The main square 'The Salzburgerplatz' occasionally holds festivals and small events and the Pavilon bar is suitable for all - The ice creams are incredible!!

One thing you'll notice about Kaprun in the Summer is how clean it is. All roads, paths and gardens are all immaculately kept, hanging baskets with flower arrangements are on show on balconies & everyone makes that little bit extra effort to make sure you are happy. The weather is most often clear sky and reasonably hot weather. If you choose to come early or later on in the season you may experience the odd storm or two. Make sure you bring a waterproof!

Kaprun has all the basic essentials you need for a holiday - There is a large ADEG super market right in the centre of town if you need some food or want to grab some well earned beers after an activity. There are numerous bars, restaurants & shops all located close by so it's nice & easy to find your way around. There are several bars all located near the centre of the village. The highly anticipated 'Tauern Spa', thermal resort opened recently and has brought a whole new range of Thermal Spa facilities to you fingertips!!

The 'Optimum Centre' is also a popular leisure centre in the centre of Kaprun & is a great place to visit in the summer. It's facilities include a large indoor pool, outdoor leisure & play pool (plus small water slide), gymnasium*, sauna, steam room & a huge outdoor relaxation area when the weather is hot & sunny (as it most often is!!) *Extra charge for use of gymnasium*
